  • - In December the article ,,Informuoto asmens sutikimas: ką turėtų žinoti ir ką iš tiesų žino biomedicininių tyrimų dalyviai?” co-authored by A. Čekanauskaitė and E.Gefenas was published in the ,,Visuomenės sveikata” journal.
  • - On the 9th-14th of December the conference of history of science  “The evolution of science and technology in Lithuania” took place in Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. Doctoral students I. Paukštytė and A. Žalnora attended the conference and presented the papers: “The development of biomedical research ethics in Lithuania” and “Anthropology, Anatomy, and Histology studies at the Stephen Bathory University in Vilnius, 1919-1939”.
  • - In December the article ,,Twenty Years of Human Research Ethics Committees in the Baltic States” co-authored by V. Dranseika, E. Gefenas,  A. Čekanauskaitė, K. Hug, S. Mezinska, E. Peičius, V. Silis, A. Soosaar and M. Strosberg  was published in the Developing World Bioethics journal. Download the article here.
  • - On the 8th-9th of October V. Miežutavičiūtė and A. Žalnora attended the  24th  International Baltic Conference of History of Science ,,Historiae Scientiarum Baltica” in Tallinn and delivered speeches on the themes: ,,Two hundred years of the Vilnius Maternity Institute” and ,,Anthropology, Anatomy, and Histology studies at the Stephen Bathory University in Vilnius, 1919-1939”.
  • - In October the article ,,Istorinė biomedicininių tyrimų su žmonėmis etikos raida” co-authored by I. Paukštytė and  E.Gefenas was published in the ,,Visuomenės sveikata” journal. Download the article here.
  • - On the 19th-22th of September A. Čekanauskaitė and V. Dranseika attended  the Workshop of Northern Countries Medical Philosophy and Medical Ethics Network in Reykjavik. Download programme here.
  • - On the 16th of September the workshop within the framework of  ETHICSWEB project was organized by the Department of Medical History and Ethics  in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Download programme here.
  • - On the 14th-15th of September the ETHICSWEB board meeting took place  in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
  • - On the 9th-10th of September the workshop of TISS.EU project was held by the Department of Medical History and Ethics in Vilnius, Lithuania. The papers were presented by the guests from different European countries and Lithuanian representatives: Arvydas Laurinavičius – “Pathologist’s perspective on the use of humanbiological material for research”; Eugenijus Gefenas – ,,How does ethical review of research on biological material    compare to other types of human research”;  Vilius Dranseika – ,,Frameworks for regulating human tissue research in Lithuania”; Jūratė Šerepkaitė ir Asta Čekanauskaitė – ,,Research on human post mortem samples: is consent always required?” Download programme here.
